Germany urgently needs top engineers like you – straight out of TUM! But navigating the unique rules of the German job market can be tricky, especially for international students.

The „Engineers for Germany“-Program helps you find your way in the German job market and launch a stellar career.

Engineers for Germany – Second Intake Starting in the Winter Term!

Applications for the first intake are now closed. The second intake opens for applications in mid-July!

Join our Engineers for Germany group to stay updated and get notified when applications open. You can still attend all events and access career services to prepare for your engineering career in Germany.

This program combines the career services of Alumni & Career with exclusive offers and a network designed to ideally prepare you for entering the German job market as an engineer. After completion, you have received comprehensive career coaching and join a network to build your career on.

This program is aimed at current international Master’s students in engineering degree programs who are motivated to enter the German job market after their graduation.

Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we also aim to select a diverse group, considering a range of study programs, career goals, and skills. Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a mandatory individual assessment (20 minutes, online) before the start of the semester.

The Engineers for Germany program spans over two semesters and includes both mandatory units and self-selected employability projects, so that you can complete the total workload easily and in line with your studies.

However, the units should be completed in the specified semester, and cannot be switched.

Within units, you have the flexibility to tailor the program content to your individual goals, selecting events that best suit your needs. Throughout the program, you’ll benefit from continuous evaluation and career advice provided by experienced coaches and industry experts.

Semester 1

  • Career Profile Assessment (before start of lectures)
  • Unit 1: Mastering Applications (one event)
  • Unit 2: Job Markets for Engineers (one event)
  • Start of Employability Project (pick your own project)
  • Career Milestones Assessment (feedback survey + exclusive CV Check for Engineers)

Semester 2

  • Unit 3: Engineer your Network (one event + Alumni Mentoring)
  • End of Employability Project (share your learnings)
  • Learnings and Job-Entry Coaching (closing seminar with exclusive coaching)
