This program is aimed at international Master’s students in engineering degree programs who are motivated to start their career in Germany after graduation.

Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis to build a diverse group across engineering fields, nationalities, and levels of experience in the German job market.
The earlier and more conclusive your application, the higher your chances of securing a spot. Since this is a two‑semester program, priority is given to students who have at least one year of studies remaining at the program’s start.

If your application is successful, you will be invited to book a Career Profile Assessment. For this online session, please prepare a short pitch outlining your career goals and an initial idea for an employability project you wish to pursue during the program year. Further instructions will be provided in your invitation email.

The Engineers for Germany program spans over two semesters and includes mandatory units and self-selected employability projects, so that you can complete the total workload in line with your studies.

The program provides a structured framework that allows you to build your skills step by step by completing the assigned units each semester. Within units, you have the full flexibility to tailor the program content to your individual goals and commitments, selecting offers that best suit your needs. From the start and throughout the program, you benefit from evaluation and career advice provided by experienced career managers and industry experts.

The job market is competitive. In addition to strong education and good grades, proficiency in the German language and practical work experience are crucial factors for securing a job. In your employability project, you take the lead – whether through German language courses, joining a TUM Student Club, working or volunteering in Germany or exclusive offers at TUM like 1.000+ Project Week, EuroTeQ Collider or the Key Skill Program. Your own motivation determines the scope and direction of the project.

We support you with ongoing evaluation of your progress. At the start, we assess your career goals and profile to create an personalized action plan. Midway, you’ll review your progress through an self-assessment, and you receive feedback on your updated CV. The program ends with a job-entry coaching, giving you the opportunity to share experiences and insights with peers.
